අනන්තරෝක‍්‍ත, a. (අන් අන්‍තර උක්ත), the next-said, the immediately-mentioned (matter, &c.), ඊළඟ කීවාවූ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍.

ඒ, n. The twelfth letter of the alphabet. Its sound is that of the preceding vowel lengthened: as a in Fade, but somewhat broader, the initial sound of it being maintained throughout, without changing into i as the English sound does: consequently in English words it would seem somewhat inelegant. Its non-initial form is the same as the preceding, but lengthened by the addition of /?/ or ි to the consonant, as කේ ké (cay), මේ mé (may).

ත·ගණය, n, a poetical foot, antibachchic, viz. — — two syllables long and the third short (marked in Sinh. — —).

පත්·බානවා, v. to patch (mat or roof) with rushes &c.

පඹයා, n. scarecrow, effigy (made of පඹ).

පොල්·අඹ, n. a variety of අඹ (mango) of a large size.

මායියා, මාය්යා, n. Port. (maia), old woman, නාකි ස්ත්‍රී; wife, භාර්‍ය්‍යාව.

රක්ෂෝඝන, n. (රක්‍ෂස් evil spirit, ඝන what destroys), sour gruel or congee (made from fermented rice water), asafetida, ‍පෙරුන් කායම්.

වසයා, n. mas. (වස poisonous), vicious or bad one (man or animal).

ශංකුව, n. compass (mariners' &c.), E. S.

සං·ස්කාරයකරනවා, v. t. to complete, purify; consecrate, polish (manners &c).
