අ ප්‍රවේක්ෂිත, unforeseen, කලින් නොදකිනලද.

අ භක්ති, අ භක්තික, a. irreligious, not pious or devoted, ungodly, godless, unregenerate, භත්කිනැති.

අක් කිත්ත, අක් කිනිත්ත, n. (අක් ඉත්ත), terminal catkin or sprig.

අකුරකින් විදිනවා, v. to shoot with a small stone for augury. This is done by taking stones between the two fore-fingers and projecting them against the bark and leaves of trees and then predicting coming events according to the marks made by the stones.

අදිකරණිය, n. anvil, කිනිහිරය.

අන්‍ය ජ, a. of other origin, extrageneous, වෙන ජාතියකින් අටගත්.

අනිකිනිය, n. an army equal to one tenth of an අ‍ක්‍ෂෞහිණිය, wich see.

අනිනවා, v. to pierce, prick, stab, gore, sting to poke with fist or stick, as ගුටි අනිනවා, ලීයකින් අනිනවා; pret. ඇන්නා; v. n. ඇනීම.

අනු ගාමික, a. accompanying, attendant, sequential, resulting (reward of merit), යමකින් අටගන්න, කැටුවයන (ඵල විපාක).

අනුත්පාදිත, a. (අන් උත්පාදිත), uncaused, හේතුව කින් අටනොගත්, unproduced, uncreated, නො ඉපදුණ.

අපිස් සතොස, අපිස් සතොස් බව, n. contentment or happiness with little, ස්වල්පයකින් සතුටුවීම.

අර්‍ධාර්‍ධය, n. (අර්‍ධය), half of half, a quarter, අඩ කින් අඩක්.
