අ ප්‍රති නාථයා, n. one without a superior, supreme or peerless one, මහෝත්තමයා.

අ සාමයික, a. (සාම: fr. සමය), inopportune, unseasonable, ප්‍රස්තාවට නුසුදුසු.

අග්‍ර පුද්ගල, a. eminent, උත්තමයෙක්වූ; n. the eminent one, උත්තමයා; ap. of Buddha.

අට කර, n. eight-armed one, අත්අටක්ඇත්තා, ap. of Brahma, බ්‍රහ්මයා.

අට නෙත්, n. eight-eyed one: ap. of Brahma, බ්‍රහ්මයා.

අට පිරිස, n. the eight retinues that attended Buddha, viz. military or royal persons, brahmayas, regents of planets, B. priests, Chāturmahārājika gods (the four imperial gods), the Tautisā gods, Māra deities and Brahma: ක්ෂත්‍රියයෝ or රජවරු, බ්‍රහ්මයෝ, ග්‍රහපතියෝ, ශ්‍රම ණයෝ, චාතුර්‍මහාරාජික දෙවිවරු, තව්තිසා දෙවි වරු, මාර දේවතාවරු, මහාබ්‍රහ්මයා. අත ළමයා, n. infant in arms, babe.

අත්‍යනුත්සූත්‍ර, a. (අති අනුත්සූත්‍ර), exact to the rule, uncompromising, නියමයට ඉතා එකඟ.

අති ක්‍රාන්තවෙනවා, v. i. to go or get beyond, &c.; pass away, elapse, transpire, පසුවෙනවා, ඉක් මයනවා.

අදෝමය, අදෝමයි, excl. it is a pity, how sad.

අධමයා, n. a low person, one of low caste, menial, පහත් අය, නීචයා.

අන්තයා, n. the last or lowest person, අධමයා, පහත් අය.

අන්‍ය වර්‍ධත, or අන්‍ය වද්ධිත, a. reared by another or a stranger, foster (child), අන්‍යයෙක් විසින් ඇතිකළ (ළමයෙක්).

අනාවරණයවේගනඑනවා, v. i. to become disclosed, evolve gradually, ක්‍රමයෙන් එළිදරව් වෙනවා.

අනු ක්‍රමයෙන්, අනු ක්‍රමකාරයෙන්, ad. orderly, gradually, seriatim, පිළිවෙළින්, ක්‍රමයෙන්.
