අෂ්ට විධ පාන, n. pl. B., the eight kinds of beverage allowed to priests, viz. that made from මීපැණි, මුද්‍රිකඵල, බොරළුදමනු, උපුල්අල, ඇට කෙසෙල්, මස් කෙසෙල්, අඹ, and දඹ: see each in its place. The juice of these is to be mixed with water.

පස්·පැණි, n. pl. five kinds of honey or sweet juice, viz. මීපැ‍ණි bee honey, බඹරපැණි wasp honey, කනමීපැණි, දඬුවැල්පැණි humble-bee honey, උක්පැණි sugar-cane juice.

පීතක, n. yellow orpiment; saffron, කහ; aloe wood, අගිල්; brass, පිත්තල; honey, මීපැණි. Bot.

මක්‍ෂිකාලය, n. (මක්‍ෂිකා, ආලය house), web or net of flies; bee-hive or nest, මිය; honey, මීපැණි.

මධු, n. the sweet, what is sweet, viz. honey, මීපැණි; nectar of flowers, මල්පැණි; sugar, සීනි; liquorice, වැල්මී; milk, කිරි; spirituous liquor, සුරා; water, වතුර; the name of the demon bain by Vishnu. Bot.

මධුක, n. honey, මීපැණි; liquorice, වැල්මී; tin, බෙලෙක්.

මාක්‍ෂික, n. honey, මීපැණි; also the same as මාක්‍ෂිතත්‍ථ.

මිහි, n. honey, මීපැණි, nectar of flowers, මල් පැණි; semen virile, ශූක්‍රධාතුව; see also ඇත්මද.

මිහිරිය, n. lit. and fig. sweetness &c., මිහිරිකම; honey, මීපැණි; ap. of ගණදෙවියෝ.

සාරඝය, n. honey, මීපැණි; beeswax, මිඉටි.
