අ රූපාවචර, a. pert. to the immaterial planes or those four brahma worlds; or n. bodiless or immaterial plane or world, viz. where immaterial beings are or the mind alone exists.

අ වචනීය, a. unspeakable, inexpressible, unutterable, ineffable, කිය නොහැකිවූ, කිය නො හැකිතරම්.

අ ස්වච්ඡ, a. non-transparent, opaque, විනිවිදනොපෙනෙන.

අ ස්වච්ඡතාව, n. opacity, විනිවිදනොයනගතිය.

අ ස්වච්ඡන්ද, a. not self-willed, pliable, docile, tractable, හිතුවක්කාර නොවන, හික්මුම්.

අටඟ මග, n. (අට, අග portion, section), the eightfold way to Nirvāna, i. e. the way embracing eight sections, viz. — 1. සම්‍යක් දෘෂ්ටිය, right view, orthodoxy. 2. සම්‍යක් සංකල්පනාව, right volition or determination. 3. සම්‍යක් වචනය, right speech. 4. සම්‍යක් කර්‍මන්තය, right action. 5. සම්‍යක් ආජීවය, right living or livelihood. 6. සම්‍යක් ව්‍යායාමය, right effort. 7. සම්‍යක් සමෘතිය, right remembrance or contemplation of the past. 8. සම්‍යක් සමාධිය, right meditation.

අති භාෂණය, n. loquacity, excessive speaking, වචාලකම, අධික කථාව.

අති විස්තර, a. very descriptive or explanatory, very explicit, ඉතා විස්තර or පැහැදිලි; diffuse, prolix, periphrastic, විස්තර or වචන වැඩිවූ.

අතිශයෝක්ත, අතිශයෝක්ති, a. (අතිශය උක්ත), effusive, verbose, prolix, pleonastic, වචන වැඩිවූ.

අතිශයෝක්තිය, n. effusiveness, verbosity, prolixity, වචන වැඩිකම; hyperbole, අධිකතර කීම.

අධි වචනය, n. name, appellation or title, නාමය, සංඥනාමය.

අධික වාක්‍ය සහිත, a. verbose, periphrastic, වචනවැඩිවු .

අනු කරණ වචනය, අනු කරණ ශබ්දය, n. onomantopoetic word.

අනු මාන වාචකය, n. word expressive of doubt, අනුමානබව හඟවන වචනයක්.

අභි ධානය, n. name, appellation, නාමය; dictionary, vocabulary, අකාරාදිය, වචනකෝෂය.
