අටඟ මග, n. (අට, අග portion, section), the eightfold way to Nirvāna, i. e. the way embracing eight sections, viz. — 1. සම්‍යක් දෘෂ්ටිය, right view, orthodoxy. 2. සම්‍යක් සංකල්පනාව, right volition or determination. 3. සම්‍යක් වචනය, right speech. 4. සම්‍යක් කර්‍මන්තය, right action. 5. සම්‍යක් ආජීවය, right living or livelihood. 6. සම්‍යක් ව්‍යායාමය, right effort. 7. සම්‍යක් සමෘතිය, right remembrance or contemplation of the past. 8. සම්‍යක් සමාධිය, right meditation.

ආනා පාන සතිය, ආනා පාන සමෘතිය, n. remembering or meditating severally upon one's inspiration and expiration.

බෝධ්‍යංග, n. pl. (බෝධි අංග), Buddha attributes or requisites for attaining Buddhaship, viz. the following seven: සමෘතිය, remembrance, ධර්‍මවිචය, investigation of religious truth, වීර්‍ය්‍යය effort, ප්‍රීතිය joy, ප්‍රශ්‍රබ්ධිය mental tranquillity, සමාධිය concentrated meditation, උපේක්‍ෂාව impassiveness, stoicism.

ශ්‍රැති, n. lit. that which was heard, the Vedas, Revelation (as opposed' to සමෘති, Tradition); hearing; oral account; අසනලද්ද, වෙදග්‍රන්‍ථ.

සමෘත්‍යුපස්ථානය, n. (සමෘථි memory, උප: attendance upon), see ස්මාතිහේතුව.

සමෘති·ශාස්ත්‍රය, n. science of law, body or code of laws.

සමෘති·හේතුව, n. cause of remembrance, viz. the law of association, mental effort &c., මතක්වීමේ හේතුව.

ස්මරණ·දානය, සමෘති·දානය, n. memorial gift, keepsake, souvenir, සිහිකරවීමේ තෑග්ග.

ස්‍රෂ්ටෘ, n. (ඍජ් to create), creator, මැවුම්කාරයා; ap. of Brahma and Siva, බ්‍රහ්ම-ශිව-දෙවියෝසමෘති‍.
