අ ලිඛිත, a. unwritten, undelineated, ලියානැති, සටහන්කරලා නැති.

අ ශෛක්ෂයා, n. B., a perfected saint, රහතුන් වහන්සේ.

අක් දෙරිය, n. water-strainer, පෙරහන්කඩ; terrace round a house, පිළ.

අට පිරිකර, n. pl. the eight accoutrements or articles required by a B. P., viz. bowl, under-garment, single robe, double robe, girdle, knife or razor, needle and water-strainer: පාත්‍රය, අඳනය, තනිපටසිවුර, දෙපටසිවුර, පටිය, පිහිය, ඉඳිකටුව, පෙරහන්කඩ.

අත හන්කරනවා, v. t. to sign, අත්සන්කරනවා.

අන්‍යුත්කෘෂ්ටතාව, අත්‍යුත්තමතාව, n. super-eminence, &c, ඉතා උත්තම භාවය; grandeur, &c, මහන්තත්වය.

අනුක්ත, a. (අන් උකත), unsaid, unexpressed, නොකී, සඳහන්නොකල.

අභි ධේයය, n. the named or mentioned thing, සදහන්වූ එක; significance, meaning, තේරුම.

ආචාරීන්වහන්සේ, n. hon. teacher, preceptor, tutor.

උතුමාණන්වහන්සේ, n. hon. His Excellency (the Governor).

උන්වහන්සේ, pron. hon. he or she (used of God, kings &c).

ඌරුහන්දෙනවා, v. to whistle.

ඔබ, pron. hon. thou; also (cl.) he, උන්වහන්සේ.

ඔබවහන්සේ, pron. very hon. Thou, Your Honour, Your Majesty.

ඕෂධී තාරකාව, n. herb-star, supposed to preside over herbs and medicine; morning star, පහන්තාරකාව.
