අන්‍යාලාප, අන්·අලප්, n. a metaphor that is in the nature of an allegory, 'allegorical metaphor': see sidatsangara, Ch. xii.

අපේක්ෂක, a. (අප away, on, ඊක්ෂ් to look), desirous of, ආශාවෙන expectant, hopeful, sanguine, බලාපොරොත්තුවෙන, බලාසිටින.

ඇවැස්ස, a. E. of අවශ්‍ය: near in relationship, consanguineous, කිට්ටු.

ඇවැස්ස නෑකම, n. blood-relationship, consanguinity, ලේ නෑකම, කිට්ටු නෑකම.

උගුඩුවා, n. wild-cat, ocelot, polecat, Paradoxurua musanga.

ඒක පිණ්ඩ, a. related, consanguineous, නෑවූ.

ඒක පිණ්ඩතාව, n. consanguinity, ලේනෑකම.

කලවැද්දා, n.wild cat, golden musang, (mongoose family), paradoxurus zeylanicm.

කුශතෘණ, arrow-grass, Paspalum sanguinale (Gram.). It is regazided as sacred because when a handful of it Was given to Buddha by a Brahman he cast it under a Bo-tree and it immediately became a seat for him.

චිත්‍තෝෂ්‍ණ, a. (චිත්‍ත උෂ්‍ණ), warm-hearted, ප්‍රේමවන‍්ත; sanguine, E. S.

භද්‍රා, lit. the auspicious or excellent: ap. of various plants, viz. අරත්ත, නිල් අවරිය, භද්‍රපණි,ඉරමුසු and ඇත්දෙමට, each of which see; also for Curcuma domestica, කහ; and finger grass, Panicum sanguinale.

රක්ත·කරණය, n. turning something into blood, act of sanguification,, ලේකිරීම.

රක්ත·පිත්ත, plethoric, sanguineous, ලේ අධික.

රක්ත·පිත්ත, sanguineous bile, plethora, hemorrhage from the mouth, nose, bowels &c. accompanied with fever, vomiting and purging.

රක්ත·භූතිය, n. (භූතිය becoming), becoming or turning to blood, sanguification, ලේවීම.
