අ කමනීය, a. undesirable, unpleasant, unenvi able, අප්‍රසන්න.

අ ප්‍රිය, a. displeased, averse, reluctant, කැමති නැති; disagreeable, unpleasant, ප්‍රසන්න ගති යක් නැති.

අ මධුර, a. unsavoury, distasteful; fig. harsh, unpleasant, unmusical; අමිහිරි.

අ මෘත වර්‍ෂාව, n. rain of ambrosia or nectar, අමාවැස්ස; pleasant rain, මිහිරි වැස්ස.

අම ගඳ, n. unpleasant smell, the smell of raw meat, දුගඳ, ආමගන්ධය.

අමිහිරි, a. not sweet, unsavoury; disagreeable, unpleasant, distasteful; dissonant, inharmonious, harsh.

අරාම, a. joyless, disconsolate, ප්‍රීතිනැති; unpleasant, අප්‍රිය.

අලීක, a. false, බොරු, vain,හිස්; unpleasant, අසුය.

කන් කටුලු, a. disagreeable to the ear, unpleasant to ear, කනට අමිහිරි.

කල්පය, n. a period said to be equal to a day of Brahma which equals 4,320,000,000 solar years: it is the Sakwala or world period, which is divided into four parts, viz. its formation, its duration, its destruction and its non-entity until the commencement of its reformation. It is difficult, however, to reconcile the various statements one with another, since during the Kalpa the age of man is said to gradually increase from ten years to an asankhya and again to diminish gradually to ten years: an asankhya being about the twentieth power of a million.

කෘෂකයා, n. ploughman, agriculturist, peasant, ගොවියා.

කෝකිලයා, n. black cuckoo, cuculus micropterus. It is much referred to in native poetry for its pleasant note.

කෝන්, Ceylon oak, which bears a pleasant acid fruit, Sehleichera trijuga (Sapin.).

ග්‍රම්‍ය·උදවිය, n. village people, peasantry, පිටි සර මිනිස්සු, ගමේඋදවිය.

ග්‍රාම්‍ය·ජනයා, ග්‍රාම්‍යයා, n. mas. villager, peasant, ryot, ගම්වැසියා; stupid or ignorant man, ගුඩ්ඩයා, මෝඩයා.
