ක්ලාන්ත, a. exhausted with fatigue, faint, ,ක්ලාන්තය n. faintness, fainting.

ක්ලාන්තවෙනවා, v. i. to become exhausted, faint, swoon.

කෙඩෙත්තු, a. fatigued, exhausted, fagged, තෙහෙට්ටු.

චර්‍ය්‍යය, චර්‍ය්‍යාව‍, n. observance (of rites), perseverance in religious austerities.

තද, a. hard, firm, rigid, stiff, tight, intense; obstinate; severe, austere.

තද·බල, a. very strong, powerful; austere, severe, violent, stringent; intense, grievous.

තදයා, n. mas. hard, harsh or austere person, obstinate person.

තපස, n. religious austerity, asceticism, penance; special duties of the different castes; dewy or hot season.

තපස්රකිනවා, v. to practise religious austerities as an ascetic.

තෙහෙට්ටු, a. fatigued, wearied, exhausted.

තේ·කිසිනු, n. (glorious asceticism), Buddha's power, acquired by the severest religious austerities, of diffusing a fiery splendour from his body sufficient to illumine the region around him for many miles; ascetic observance or attainment so called, viz, fixing the mind exclusively upon the element of fire. නෛෂක්‍රම්‍ය·පාරමිතාව, n. the ordinance or observance of asceticism. Buddha is set forth as the great example in this respect, having forsaken all his royal luxuries and retired into solitude, where, after six years of religious austerities and meditation, he attained Buddhahood. පරි·ශ්‍රමවූ, පරි·ශ්‍රාන්ත, a. fatigued, exhausted, වෙහෙසවූ, තෙහෙට්ටු.

ප්‍ර·යතයා, n. one purified by austerity, ascetic, තාපසයා.

භගීරථ, n. name of a king, whose religious austerities, it is said, brought the Ganges down from heaven.
