උපාලි, n. name of the compiler of the Vinaya Pitaka.

ධර්‍ම·සංහිතාව, n. compilation or code of laws, ව්‍යවස්ථා සංග්‍රහය.

පුරාණය, n. One of a class of H. sacred and poetical works, which are said to have been compiled or composed by the poet ව්‍යාස. Of these there are eighteen, with eighteen supplementary works called Upa Purana, උප පුරාණ. They treat of the creation, destruction and renovation of worlds, the genealogy and achievements of gods and heroes, the reigns of the Man us and the transactions of their descendants. These works constitute the H. theology, and are much studied.

රචනාකරනවා, v. t. to compose, compile (literary work).

ව්‍යාස, n. name of a celebrated saint and author, compiler of the Vedas, &c.

වේදය, n. H. sacred Scriptures, said to have been revealed by Brahma, preserved by tradition and at length compiled in their present form by Vyasa, a celebrated saint.

සං·ග්‍රකාරයා, n. compiler, රචනාකරන්නා; entertainer, host, සත්කාරකරන්නා.

සං·ග්‍රහය, සං·ග්‍රහව, n. a compilation, compendium, abridgment, epitome, treatise, magazine, manual, රචනාව &c., E. S.; aid, favour, පිහිට; entertainment of persons, repast, treat, භෝජනය,කෑම.

සං·ගෘහීත, a. (fr. සංග්‍රහ), compiled, සංග්‍රහකරපු, collected, එකතුකරපු; abbreviated, ලුහුඬුකරපු.

සං·යුත්·නිකාය, සං·යුත්·සහීය, n. (සංයුත් and සහිය collection, compilation), the third of the five books or Sangis of the Sūtra Pítaka, see සහීය.

සං·හිතා, n. pl. or a. of සංහිතාව: compilations &c.; pert. to compilations or conjugations.

සංග්‍රහකරනවා, v. t. (සං together, ග්‍රන් to take), to compile, compose, රචනාකරනවා; favour, කරුණාකරනවා; entertain (guests) සත්කාර කරනවා.
