අ නද, අ නඳ, n. E. of අනන්‍ද: joy, ර්‍ප්‍රතිය; name of a celebrated disciple of Buddha.

අ විනීත, a. untrained, uncultivated, undisciplined, නොහික්මුම්; discourteous, ill-behaved, indecorous, rude, uncouth, අශිෂ්ටාචාර, ආචාර නැති.

අග සව්, n. chief disciple, ප්‍රධාන ගෝලයා: ap. of Buddha's two chief disciples සැරියුත්and මුගලන්, who acted as his recorders.

අග්‍ර ශ්‍රාවකයා, n. chief pupil or disciple, sp. of Buddha. See අගසව්.

අත වැසියා, අත වැස්සා, n. page, valet, servitor, retainer, follower, acolyte, disciple.

අබ්භූත ධම්ම, n. (අප් or අබ් priv., භූත existing, ධම්ම P. of ධර්‍ම), non-existent law or event, unprecedented occurrence, wonder, miracle, අද්භූතය, විස්මයක; B. a work on the miraculous powers of the disciples of Buddha.

අරි සව්, n. E. of ආර්‍ය්‍ය ශ්‍රාවක: B. eminent monk or disciple, උතුම් ගෝලයා.

ආනන්ද, n. name of an eminent disciple who attended Buddha.

ගෝලකම, n. pupilage, discipleship.

ගෝලයා, n. pupil, scholar, disciple.

ඡාත්‍රායා, n. (fr. ඡත්‍ර), scholar, pupil, disciple, ගෝලයා (as carrying his teacher's umbrella).

දැගසව්, n. pl. (දෙ, අග, සව්), two chief disciples of Buddha, see අගසව්.

දුර්‍ද්‍රන්ත, a. (දුර්දාන්ත), untamable; unsubduable, difficult to discipline, හීලෑ—මට්ටු—කරන්ට අමාරු.

ධර්‍ම·විනය, n. doctrinal part of the Tripitaka and rules of discipline for the priesthood.
