අ ප්‍රකෘතිය, n. accidental property, non-essential. E. S.

අ වශ්‍ය, අ වශ්‍යක, a. (අ priv., වශ subject), certain, positive, සත්තක; requisite, necessary, essential, ඕනෑමවූ.

අත්‍යාවශ්‍යක, a. (අති ආවශ්‍යක), most necessary, superessential, ඉතාමත්ම ඕනෑවූ.

අනවශෘක, a. (අන් අව:), unessential, unnecessary, unimportant, ඉතා වැදගත්නොවන.

අනවශෘකතාව, n. unessentiality, &c.

අෂ්ට ධර්‍මය, n. the law of eight, viz. the eight essentials for becoming a Buddha: 1 manhood, 2 the male sex, 3 merit, 4 to have seen a Buddha, 5 ascetic condition, monkhood, 6 virtuousness, 7 aspiration to Buddhahood, 8 a strenuous heart for it.

ආවශ්‍යක, a. important, necessary, essential, ඕනෑමකරන, අවශ්‍යක.

ඕනෑමකරනවා, v. t. to render necessary, necessitate, be essential or most requisite.

වය·කල්‍යාණය, වයෝ·කල්‍යාණය, n. (වයස්කල්‍යා:), age-excellence, viz. youthfulness, period of youth, considered one of the five essentials of personal beauty.

සම්මුති·සත්‍යය, n. truth which is received as such by the general consent of mankind (and as opposed to පරමාර්‍ථසත්‍ය, truth which is essentially or objectively so).

සහ·භුත·ස්ථ, a. (භුත element, ස්ථ being), consubstantial, coessential, සමග්තිවූ, see භූතස්ථ.

ස්වභාවෙන්ම, ස්වභාවයෙන්ම, ad. by nature itself, naturally, constitutionally, essentially.

සාරමීය, a. best, essential (oil &c.), ඉස්තරම්වූ; fig. pithy, සාරවත්.

සාරාර්‍ථය, n. (සාරඅර්‍ථය), real purport, the substance or essential meaning, නියම අදහස best interest or welfare, උතුම් ශූභය.
