අෂ්ටාර්‍ය්‍ය, a. (ආර්‍ය්‍ය), pert. to the eight excellencies, viz. the four paths and the four fruits thereof.

අෂ්ටාර්‍ය්‍ය පුද්ගලයා, අෂ්ටාර්‍ය්‍යයා, n. one who has attained the eight excellencies.

උත්කර්‍ෂතාව, උත්කර්‍ෂය, n. excellence &c., උත්තම කම, අධිකකම.

උතුම්කම, n. eminence, dignity; excellence &c.

ගන්‍ධ·වරා, n. lit. fragrant excellence, viz. camphor, කපුරු.

පංච·කල්‍යාණ, n.pl. the five excellences (of the human body): of the hair, curly and beek, කේශකල්‍යාණය; of the teeth, regular and fine, දන්ත...; of the flesh, neither too fat nor thin, මාංස...; of the skin, clear and shining, ඡවී...; of age, youthfulness, වය:කල්‍යාණය.
