අ ශ්‍රීක, අ ශ්‍රීමත්, a. ignoble, inglorious, උතුම් නැති, අපකීර්‍තති; unprosperous, සඵලනැති; inelegant, ugly, අවලක්ෂණ.

ඓශ්චර්‍ය්‍යමත්, a. glorious, magnificent, superb, palatial.

ඓශ්චර්‍ය්‍යමත්කම, n. gloriousness &c.

තේ·කිසිනු, n. (glorious asceticism), Buddha's power, acquired by the severest religious austerities, of diffusing a fiery splendour from his body sufficient to illumine the region around him for many miles; ascetic observance or attainment so called, viz, fixing the mind exclusively upon the element of fire. තේජවන්ත, තේජවත්, a. splendid, glorious &c.

නාවි, n. root of the plant gloriosa superba, said to be a subtile poison.

නියඟලා·අල, n. a kind of yam, gloriosa superba.

භෝජ·පත්‍ර, a tree the bark of which peels off like that of birch, Adam's-needle, Yucca gloriosa (Lili.).

ස්වර්‍ග·ගත, ස්වර්‍ගෝපගත, a. (ස්වර්‍ග උපගත), who has attained heaven, glorified, beatified, sainted, ස්වර්‍ගයට පැමිණි.

ස්වර්‍ගෝපගතකරනවා, v. t. to bring to heaven, beatify, glorify, ස්වර්‍ගයට පුමුණුවනවා.

සු·ප්‍රභ, a. (සූ emp., ප්‍රභ lustre), very splendid, glorious, ඉතා දීප්තිමත්.

‍නිස්තේජස්, a. (නි:: priv.), lustreless, inglorious, තේජසනැති; obscure, අඳුරු.
