අව බෝධකරවනවා, v. c. to cause to understand (anything), තෝරාදෙනවා; to illumine, (සිත) පහදවනවා.

ආ දීප්ත, a. illumined, enlightened, ආලෝකවූ, fig. ප්‍රබෝධිත.

ආ ලෝකකරනවා, v. t. (ආ upon, ලෝක් to see, shine), to enlighten, illumine, irradiate, එළිය කරනවා.

තේ·කිසිනු, n. (glorious asceticism), Buddha's power, acquired by the severest religious austerities, of diffusing a fiery splendour from his body sufficient to illumine the region around him for many miles; ascetic observance or attainment so called, viz, fixing the mind exclusively upon the element of fire. දීපං·කර, n. lit. light-maker, illuminator: ap. of Buddha as enlightener of the world.
