අ වශ්‍යකතාව, අ වශ්‍යකත්වය, අ වශ්‍යතාව, n certainty &c., සත්තකම; necessity &c., ඕනෑම කෙරීම; importance, වැදගත්කම.

අත බර, a. pressing, as if on the hand, weighty, oppressive, burdensome, බරවූ; serious, important, වැදගත්.

අති භාර දූර, a. very weighty or important, vast, ඉතා වැදගත් or බරපතළ.

අති භාරත්වය, n. excessive weight, මහත් බරකම, or gravity or importance, මහත් වැදගත්කම; massiveness, ඉතා මහත්කම.

අනවශෘක, a. (අන් අව:), unessential, unnecessary, unimportant, ඉතා වැදගත්නොවන.

අභ්‍යන්තරාර්‍ථය, n. (අර්‍ථය), inner or real meaning, the spirit or import, ඇතුළු or සැබෑවූ අභිප්‍රාව.

ආවශ්‍යක, a. important, necessary, essential, ඕනෑමකරන, අවශ්‍යක.

ආවශ්‍යකතාව, ආවශ්‍යකත්වය, ආවශ්‍යය, n. importance, necessity, inevitability, වැදගත්කම, ඕනෑකම, අවශ්‍යකතාව.

කෙංචිකරනවා, v. to jeer at, make fun of; importune, කන්නලව් කරනවා.

ගරු, a. respectable, worthy, important.

ගරුත්‍වය, n. greatness, honour, importance, solemnity, ගරුතරකම, වැදගත්කම.

ගුරු, a. long (vowel), දීර්‍ඝ weighty, great, difficult, බර, අමාර; important, වැදගත්; pert. to Jupiter; instructive,ගුරුකම් අඩංගු.

ගුරු·භාවය, n. weightiness, gravity, importance, බරපතළකම, වැදගත්කම.

ත්‍රි·විද්‍යාව, n. threefold or three kinds of knowledge; ap. of the three principle Vedas: Rig, Yajur and Sāma; in B., knowledge of three important things, viz. අනිත්‍යය, දුඃඛය අනාත්මය: i.e., impermanancy, sorrow (of all existence), and the non-existence of a permanent self. This is one of the chief doctrines of B., and the chief study of all B. ascetics.

තාන්න්තරය, n. important office or avocation, ord. for ස්ථානාන්තරය or ඨානන්තරය.
