අ කිටනතාව, n. destitution, poverty (often voluntary), &c.; කිසිත් නැතිකුම, &c.

අ චේතන, අ චේතනික, අ චේතසික, අ චේතසක, a. destitute of mind or thought, සිහිබුද්ධි නැති; unconscious, දැනීමනැති; inanimate, lifeless, පණනැති; involuntary, involitive (mood, &c.), ඉබේ වෙන්නාවූ, අකර්‍මක.

අ තීක්ෂණ, a. not sharp or fine, blunt, dull, obtuse, තියුණුනැති, මොට්ට.

අ තීක්ෂණතාව, n. lit. and fig., bluntness, &c., තියුණුනැතිකම, මොට්ටකම.

අ දෘශ්‍ය චන්ද්‍ර, a. pert. to the invisible moon, interlunar, හඳ නොපෙනෙන (කාලය).

අ නිල, n. air, වාතය, wind, හුළඟ; the fifteenth lunar mansion.

අ සෛවරිතාව, n. involuntariness, කැමැත්තක් නැතුව සිද්ධවීම; absence of self-will, හිතුවක් කාර නැතිකම.

අග්නි දේවා, n. the Pleiades, the third lunar mansion, so called because අග්නිදේව governs this constellation.

අට වක, අට වක් දින, අට වක් පොහො දින, n. (වක lunar day), eighth day after the new or full moon.

අතුරු පස, n. lunch, luncheon, tiffin, refection.

අතුරු පස ශාලාව, n. lunch-room, refectory.

අදේ, n. E. of ආ‍ර්‍ද්‍රා: the sixth lunar mansion.

අධි මාසය, n. intercalary month, consisting of the difference between the solar and lunar year; super or superior month, viz., the first of any two months that begin during one and the same sign of the zodiac.
