ඇත, ඇති, v. There is or are; there is or are enough, sufficit; used also as a verb aux.: with the present, to express the future; with the preterite, to express the perfect with diffidence; with the infinitive to express probability, as ඔහු යන්ට ඇත, He must have — has probably—gone.

ඇති පදමට, ad. sufficiently, enough.

ඇද්ද, v. inter. of ඇති or ඇත, for ඇතිද: Is there, are there, is there enough?

තවල්ල, n. the upper part of a swamp or lake cultivated when the water is low enough.

මදි, මඳි, a. not enough, insufficient, inadequate, unsatisfactory.

යම, යමයා, n. The Indian Pluto, who is the Regent of the South and of death, and judge in the infernal region called පාතාලය of those who at death go there because it is doubtful whether they are bad enough for නරකාදිය or good enough for ස්වර්‍ගය, virtue and vice being about equal in them, their fate Yama decides: දකුණු දිශාවේ දෙවියා, යමරජ.

යැපෙනවා, v. i. to suffice, be enough, සෑහෙනවා; pret. යැපුණා; v. n. යැපීම.

විනාශවෙනවා, v. i. to come to nought or ruin, perish.
