අ චින්ත්‍ය, a. inconceivable, incomprehensible, inscrutable, සිතිය or දැනගත නොහැකිවූ (දේ).

අ රූප ධර්‍මය, n. B. bodiless state or the four mental states, viz. sensation, perception, apprehension, knowledge.

අ විඥෙය, a. unknowable, incomprehensible, දැනගත—තේරුම්ගත—නොහැකිවු.

අනු භවය, n. apprehension, තේරුම්ගැනීම; experience, අත්දැකීම; partaking, enjoyment of, භුක්තිවිදීම.

අභි සංස්කාරය, n. (අභි well, සං: putting together or doing), collecting, preparing, පිළි යෙළකිරීම; completing, perfecting, සම්පූර්‍ණ කිරීම; purifying, embellishing, සැරසීම; apprehension, conception, තේරුම්ගැනීම. See සංස්කාරය.

අභි සමය, n. understanding, comprehension, තේරුම්ගැනීම, අවබෝධය; favourable season, හොඳකාලය; good sect or religion, යහපත් ලබ්ධිය or ආගම.

අර්‍ථාවගම, n. (අවගම knowledge), knowledge or comprehension of the meaning, අභිප්‍රාය දැනීම.

අව බෝධය, n. (අව up, out, බෝධ awaking), understanding, apprehension, තේරුම්ගැනීම.

ආශංකිත, &c., a. apprehensive, doubting, ශංකා ඇති.

ග්‍රහක, a. grasping, seizing, prehensile, අල්ලන, ඇල්ලීමට බලයඇති.

ග්‍රහිතව්‍ය, a. that should or may be taken &c., seizable, apprehensible, ගතයුතු, අල්ලාගත යුතු, ගතහැකිවූ&c.

දුරධිගම, a. (දුර් අධිගම) difficult of attainment or comprehension, පැමිණිමට or තේරුම්ගැනී මට අමාරුවූ.

ධර්‍මාභිසමය, n. comprehension of the law or doctrines, ධර්‍මය තේරුම්ගැනීම.

පංච·ස්කන්‍ධ, n. pl. the five divisions or constituents of man: රූපස්කන්‍ධය &c., viz, රූපය, the body; වේදනාස්කන්‍ධය, feeling, perception; සංඥාස්කන්‍ධය, bare recognition or apprehension; සංස්කාරස්කන්‍ධය, moral or mental state, as of covetousness or doubt &c. to the number of fifty different states; විඥනස්ක න්‍ධය, knowledge, consciousness. The five are divided into two parts, නාම and රූප, of which four ස්කන්‍ධ, portions, belong to නාමය or the mind.
