අනු බන්ධනයකරනවා, v. t. to attach, connect, සන්ධිකරනවා; pursue, ලුහුබඳිනවා.

අනු බැඳගන්නවා, v. t. to drive after, pursue, ලුහුබඳිනවා.

එළවනවා, v. t. to drive away; පස්සේ...... to pursue, chase; bring about, cause, as සැප එළවනවා; bring forward, adduce (as arguments); සිත......to make desirous of, induce, persuade, කැමතිකරනවා; pret. එළෙවුවා; v. n. එළවීම.

කරගනයනවා, v. t. to go on doing, pursue (a course, work or act).

කරගනයාම, v. n. of above: persistence or continuance in doing, pursuance.

කාමාවචර, a. (අවචර going), pursuing lusts, sensual (person or place where such is possible), කාමතෘෂ්ණා සහිත.

ත්‍රි·වර්‍ග, n. pl. three kinds (of anything); sp. three objects that are pursued: love, duty and wealth; three conditions or states: progress, stationariness and decline; three characters: purity, ignorance and wickedness.

පුරුෂාර්‍ථය, n. man's duty, object of pursuit.

මාර්‍ග්‍ගිත, a. (fr. මෘග් to seek, hunt), sought, inquired after, සොයනලද &c.; pursued, ලුහු බඳිනලද.

මුව·මායම්, n. pl. animal stratagems for eluding pursuers, sp. those of the deer.

ලුහු·බඳිනවා, v. lit. to bind or force speed, viz. to rush after, pursue, chase, hunt, පසුපස්සේ එළවායනවා.

ලුහු·බැඳීම, ලුහු·බැඳුම, v. n. of the above: pursuing, pursuit &c.

සේතු·බන්‍ධනය, n. (සේත්‍ර bridge, බන්‍ධය binding, connection), dam, embankment, වේල්ල; sp. the ridge of rocks called Adam's Bridge, said to have been formed by Hanūman as a bridge for the forces of Rāma when in pursuit of Rāvana. See රාමචන්‍ද්‍රයා.

හඹනවා, v. t. to pursue, chase, drive away, අඹ නවා; pret. හැඹුවා; v. n. හැඹීම.
