අ වශ්‍ය, අ වශ්‍යක, a. (අ priv., වශ subject), certain, positive, සත්තක; requisite, necessary, essential, ඕනෑමවූ.

අඩු වැඩිය, n. necessaries, requisites, appliances, goods.

ආමන්ත්‍රණ පත්‍රය, n. note of invitation; requisition; කැඳවීමේ පත්‍රය.

උව මනා, n. pl. or a. (වුවමනා), necessaries, requisites; needful, requisite, ඕනෑවූ.

උව මනාව, n. a requisite, a necessary article.

ඕනෑ, ඕනෑම, a. needful, required, requisite.

ඕනෑකරනවා, ඕනෑවෙනවා, v. to need, require, be necessary to, as මේක මට ඕනෑ... This is requisite to me.

ඕනෑමකරනවා, v. t. to render necessary, necessitate, be essential or most requisite.

පාරමිතාව, n. crossing over, attainment; sp. the complete performance of B. ordinances as a prerequisite to Buddhaship. Each one of these, expressing the observance generally, is subdivided into උප, secondary, and පරමාර්‍ථ, paramount or supreme: expressing an inferior or pre-eminent observance of the duty, as දානෝපපාරමිතාව, referring to gifts of secondary or inferior kind, such as gold, silver &c., and දානපරමාර්‍ථ පාරමිතාව, to gifts of the highest kind, such as wife, children, one's own body &c. These make in all සමත්‍රිංශත් පාරමිතා, viz. a total of thirty පාරමිතා.

පූර්‍ව·භූතව්‍ය, a. prerequisite, කලින් ඕනෑවූ.

පූර්‍ව·භූතව්‍යය, n. prerequisite, කලින් or මුලට ඕනෑවූ දෙයක්.

බෝධ්‍යංග, n. pl. (බෝධි අංග), Buddha attributes or requisites for attaining Buddhaship, viz. the following seven: සමෘතිය, remembrance, ධර්‍මවිචය, investigation of religious truth, වීර්‍ය්‍යය effort, ප්‍රීතිය joy, ප්‍රශ්‍රබ්ධිය mental tranquillity, සමාධිය concentrated meditation, උපේක්‍ෂාව impassiveness, stoicism.

මගෝපකරණ, n. pl. (මග උප:) travelling requisites.

රාජ්‍යාංග, n. pl. (·අංග members), constituents or requisites of a kingdom, viz. a king, territory, population, minister, treasury, army &c.

සප්තාංග, n. pl. (·අංග portions), seven requisites of a kingdom, viz. Lord or king, prime minister, friend or ally, wealth, territory, fortifications and an army.
