අ භේදෝපචාරය, n. (අභේද උපචාරය), undivided usage, double application, metonymy. E. S.

අංගී රස, අංගු රස, අඟුරස, n. (අංග body, රස ray), having rays issuing from the body: ap. of Buddha or other sage; the planet Jupiter, බෘහස්පති.

අක්ෂ මාලා, n. ap. of අරුන්ධතී, wife of the sage වසිෂ්ඨ, given on account of the rosary she wore. See අක්ෂමාලාව.

අනභ්‍යාසය, n. non-practice or non-practising, භාවිතානොකිරීම; non-usage, disuse, අව්‍යවහා රය, භාවිතානැතිකම.

අන්තඃ පථය, n. inner passage, gallery, ඇතුල් මග. අන්තඃ පාශර්‍ව, a. interfacial, interior, ඇතුල්.

අන්ධක, n. name of a country, king, sage &c.

අනු සාරය, n. following after; conforming to custom or usage; අනුවයාම; means or medium, උපක්‍රමය.

අභි නන්දනයා, n. a Jaina sage or saint, Rishi, සෘෂියා.

අවතාරය, n. apparition, ghost, fantasm, spectre, sprite, manes, ප්‍රේතයා; in ancient usage: descent or incarnation of a god, as of Vishnu in the form of a fish, tortoise, boar, man-lion (නෘසිංහ), dwarf, the two Rāmas, Krishna, Buddha, Kalki &c.; also for අවතරණය.

අස්න, n. news, ආරංචිය, narrative, information, ප්‍රවෘත්තිය; letter, ලියුම; message, පණිවිඩය; pl.

අසුන, n. letter, intelligence, news, ලියුම, ආරං චිය; message, පණිවිඩය; pl. අසුන්.

ආ ගම, n. (ආ to, ගම coming), coming, arrival, පැමිණීම; gram. augment; general usage: religious system, religion.

ආත්‍රේය, n. son of the sage Atri; fluid element of the body, රසධාතුව.

ඉදි කඩුල්ල, n. a stile of bars, passage closed with bars.; pl. ඉදිකඩුලු.
