කුශතෘණ, arrow-grass, Paspalum sanguinale (Gram.). It is regazided as sacred because when a handful of it Was given to Buddha by a Brahman he cast it under a Bo-tree and it immediately became a seat for him.

භද්‍රා, lit. the auspicious or excellent: ap. of various plants, viz. අරත්ත, නිල් අවරිය, භද්‍රපණි,ඉරමුසු and ඇත්දෙමට, each of which see; also for Curcuma domestica, කහ; and finger grass, Panicum sanguinale.
