අ මර පුර නිකාය, n. Amarapura sect of Buddhists introduced into Ceylon about A. D. 1800 by Ambagahapitiya priest; the priests of this sect are in communion with priests of Burma.

අඟල, අඟුල, n. length of the second section of the fore-finger, viz. inch; pl. අඟල්.

අටඟ මග, n. (අට, අග portion, section), the eightfold way to Nirvāna, i. e. the way embracing eight sections, viz. — 1. සම්‍යක් දෘෂ්ටිය, right view, orthodoxy. 2. සම්‍යක් සංකල්පනාව, right volition or determination. 3. සම්‍යක් වචනය, right speech. 4. සම්‍යක් කර්‍මන්තය, right action. 5. සම්‍යක් ආජීවය, right living or livelihood. 6. සම්‍යක් ව්‍යායාමය, right effort. 7. සම්‍යක් සමෘතිය, right remembrance or contemplation of the past. 8. සම්‍යක් සමාධිය, right meditation.

අන්‍ය ලබධි අන්‍ය ලබධික, a. of another religion or sect, වෙන ලබධියකට (නිකායකට) අයිති.

අභි ධර්‍ම පිටකය, n. transcendent-doctrine repository, viz. the third Pitaka. It is divided into seven sections, viz. ධම්මසඬගණී, විභංග, ධාතුකථා, පුග්ගල පඤ්ඤත්ති, කථාවන්ථු, යමක, පට්ඨාන.

අභි සමය, n. understanding, comprehension, තේරුම්ගැනීම, අවබෝධය; favourable season, හොඳකාලය; good sect or religion, යහපත් ලබ්ධිය or ආගම.

අව සමය, n. heretical sect, false religiou, මිථ්‍යා ලබ්ධිය.

ඇඟිලි පුරුක, n. link or section of a finger or toe, knuckle.

ඇවරිය, n. comb or section (as of plantains); arch, ආරුක්කුව, තොරණ.
