කවි පදය, n. verse of poetry; line of a stanza.

ඛජාව, n. poe. a metre or stanza having one line of thirty-two feet and the next of thirty.

ගය, n. verse or stanza, පදය, ගාථාව.

ගායාත්‍රිය, n. sacred verse or stanza, a kind of mantra or charm; a metre of six syllables to the line.

දණ්ඩකය, n. a poetical metre a stanza of which may consist of from 28 to 200 syllables.

ධෘතිය, n. firmness, strength, සවිය; holding; a stanza of four lines of eighteen syllables each.

පංකතිය, n. row, cluster, class, company; stanza of four lines of ten syllables each.

ප්‍රති·ෂ්ඨාව, n. (ප්‍රති for, in lieu of,ෂ්ඨා (ස්ථා) be), favour, help, පිහිට; dowry, දායාදය; establishing, fixing, පිහිටුවීම; fixture (as the earth, site, place); accomplishment, completion as a religious ceremony, act of consecration &c.; stanza of a particular metre.

පාදය, n. foot, පය; tree-foot, මුල; foot, line or fourth of a stanza, පදය; quarter, හත රෙන් පංගුව; ray of light, රශ්මිය; flat boat, පාරුව.

පාදාර්‍ඪය, n. (·අර්‍ඪය), half line or one eighth of a stanza, පාදභාගය.

පෙද, n. ball පන්දුව; earring, කර්‍ණාභරණය; foot, පාදය; sentence, verse, stanza, පදය.

මාලිනිය, n. poetical stanza, each line of which consists of two tribrachs, one molossus and two bacchii with a pause after the 8th and 15th syllables.

මුක්තකය, n. miss‍ile, අඩයටිය; stanza or sentence which completes the sense of a passage.

යවහන්, n. the combination of ය, ව, හ, න්: when any of these letters is the final letter of the lines of a stanza it is considered the rule that the penultimate letter also should be the same in all four lines.

වන්‍දිපාඨය, n. (වන්ද් to praise), complimentary stanza, eulogium, ප්‍රශංසා රචනාවක් or කීමක්.
