අභි භවනයකරනවා, v. t. to subdue, යටත්කර නවා, conquer, පරාජයකරනවා; subjugate, subject, control, වසඟකරනවා.

අභි භවනීය, a. that should be subdued, වසඟ කළයුතු, conquerable, governable, මැඩපැවැත් විය හැකිවූ.

අභි භවා, v. p. pl. having subdued &c.: for අභිභවනයකර.

අභි භූත, a. subdued, subjugated, මැඩපවත්වන ලද, conquered, පරාජය වූ.

අව මර්‍දදය, n. (මෘද් to tread on, subdue), afflicting, crushing, පීඩාකාරීම, පොඩිකිරීම; devastating, laying waste, වැනසීම.

අෂ්ට විද්‍යා, n. pl. the eight kinds of knowledge possessed by Rahats, viz. 1 knowledge attained by religious meditation, 2 knowledge of how to perform supernatural things, 3 knowledge of the various supernatural powers, 4 divine or supernatural hearing, 5 knowledge of others' hearts, 6 knowledge of previous existences, 7 divine sight, 8 knowledge of how to subdue the passions.

ආ ක්‍රාන්ත, a. (ආ emp., ක්‍රාන්ත overcome), overcome, subdued, conquered, පරාජයවූ.
