අ සංඛ්‍ය කල්පය, n. the period so called, being about twenty අන්තඃ කල්ප.

අ සංඛ්‍යය, n. lit. the innumerable but used of a definite number, about a vigintillion or the twentieth power of a million.

අට විසි පිරිත්, n. pl. the twenty-eight incantations or recitations of the attributes of twenty-eight Buddhas for protection or escape from demons or disease.

උත්තර භාද්‍රපදය, n. twenty-sixth lunar mansion, figured by a couch and containing two stars.

උත්තරාෂාඨාව, n. twenty-first lunar asterism, figured by an elephant's tooth or a bed, it contains two stars one of which is B in Sagittarius, උතුරුසළ.

උතුරු සළය, n. twenty-first lunar asterism or mansion.

එකුන්, a. minus one, less one: as එකුන්විස්සක්, twenty minus one, එකක් අඩු විස්සක්, දහනව යක්.

කල්පය, n. a period said to be equal to a day of Brahma which equals 4,320,000,000 solar years: it is the Sakwala or world period, which is divided into four parts, viz. its formation, its duration, its destruction and its non-entity until the commencement of its reformation. It is difficult, however, to reconcile the various statements one with another, since during the Kalpa the age of man is said to gradually increase from ten years to an asankhya and again to diminish gradually to ten years: an asankhya being about the twentieth power of a million.

කාල සූත්‍රය, n. thread of time or death; one of the twenty-one hells of Hinduism and one of the eight principal hells of Buddhism, where the condemned are chopped with adzes.

කොතුව, n. laughter, හිනාව; one twentieth of a parrah.
