චන්‍ද්‍ර·දාර, n. pl. lit, the moon's wives, viz. the twenty-seven daughters of දක්‍ෂා, who being married to the moon represent the twenty-seven lunar mansions.

දක්‍ෂයා, n. clever person; name of a son of Brahma. He was called දක්‍ෂ because he sprang into being from the right-hand thumb of his father. වි·ජය, n. (වි emp., ජි to conquer), victory, ජය; a sort of spear; ap. of king අර්ජුන and of යම, name also of that famous king of the ශාක්‍ය race who came to Ceylon with 700 followers, subdued the inhabitants, brought settlers from India and established the Sinhalese Monarchy; car of the gods, දිව්‍යරථය; twenty-seventh year of the Indian cycle of sixty-years.
