ගායාත්‍රිය, n. sacred verse or stanza, a kind of mantra or charm; a metre of six syllables to the line.

ගොවි·කර්‍මාන්තකාරයා, n. agriculturist, ගොවියා.

ගන්නවා, v. t. to take, accept; buy. Used also with the p. pl. of another verb to express the reflexive sense or that the action is done to or for one's self or mutually, as ඔහු ගෙයක් සාදාගත්තා. He built himself a house; ඔවුන් කථාකරගත්තා. They conversed together; pret. ගත්තා; p. pl. ගන or ගෙන; v. n. ගැනීම.

ගර්‍දදභයා, n. mas. ass, කොටළුවා.

ගූඪ·චරයා, n. one who goes about secretly, spy, detective, ඔත්තු බලන්නා.

ගෝපිත, a. concealed, සඟවනලද protected, පාලනය or ආරක්‍ෂා කරනලද.

ගංගා ධරයා, n. lit. bearer or holder of the Ganges, viz. the ocean, සමුද්‍රය; ap. of Siva on whose head, it is said, the Ganges first descended and continued for some time amongst his hair.

ගජ සිව්, n. the earth, පොළොව.
