ගිවිසිනවා, v. to promise, covenant, stipulate; pret. ගිවිස්සා; v. n. ගිවිසීම.

ගැටයා, n. lad, boy, stripling.

ගරුඩ, n. the bird and vehicle of Vishnu, said to be a combination of man and bird, the son of කාශ්‍යප and his wife මිනතා, and king of birds.

ගණ·මකනවා, v. to disparage, asperse, bander, කේලම් කියනවා.

ගෝල‍‍·ඡෙ‍්දනය, n. segmentation of a sphere, ගෝලකැපිම.

ගිනියම්කරනවා, v. t. to make red-hot.

ගයා, n. the city Gayā in Bīhār, famed as the residence of Buddha and also called Buddha Gayā, and regarded as a sacred place by Hindus. Buddha is said to have been born in a forest near this city.

ගරුත්මාන්, n. Vishnu's bird; see ගරුඩයා.

ගඳ·කිළිය, n. fragrānt house: ap. of the residence of Buddha, that was rendered fragrant by the scent from every part of his body.
