ඇබිත්ත, n. a small quantity, morsel, ඩිංගිත්ත.

ඇතුල් පුරය, n. inner city; harem, ඇතුළු නුවර, අන්තඃපුරය.

ඇ, n. The third vowel of the alphabet, though in some grammars and vocabularies this and the next are placed last of all. Its sound is a modification of අ, and like the sound of a in fat, bat, mat. Its non-initial form is (ැ) following the consonant it vocalizes, as කැබ්, cab.

ඇවුලීම, v. n. of අවුලනවා: picking up, picking out.

ඇතිල්ලීම, v. n. of අතුල්ලනවා and ඇතිල්ලෙ නවා: rubbing, friction.

ඇස් පිය ගහනවා, or හෙළනවා, to wink, blink.

ඇවත, n. E. of ආපතර්‍තය: offence, fault.

ඇත් රිපු, n. enemy of elephants, viz. the lion, සිහංයා.

ඇරිවුම, n. See ඇරයුම.

ඇස් වහ, n. lit. eye-poison: evil or envious eye, evil or injury supposed to be produced by the glance thereof.
