අ සම්මානය, n. disrespect, discourtesy, irreverence, ගරුනැතිකම.

අඩ සඳ මුව, n. horn of the crescent moon; arrow, ඊය.

අවතාරය, n. apparition, ghost, fantasm, spectre, sprite, manes, ප්‍රේතයා; in ancient usage: descent or incarnation of a god, as of Vishnu in the form of a fish, tortoise, boar, man-lion (නෘසිංහ), dwarf, the two Rāmas, Krishna, Buddha, Kalki &c.; also for අවතරණය.

අ මාංස භක්ෂකයා, n. one who abstains from eating flesh, vegetarian.

අතුර, n. intervening space, inter-space, interstice, crevice, සිදුර; interval, අතරතුර; connecting rope between coconut trees; pl. අතුරු.
