තීරය, n. border, shore, bank of river &c., ඉවුර වෙරළ, තෙර; column of a page; strip of anything, as බිම්තීරයක්, a strip of land.

ත, n. The first of the dentals or fourth class of consonants. Its sound is that of th sharpened, as a foreigner unaccustomed to the sound would pronunce it in the word This, viz. about half way between Tis and This.

තෙ·මුවයා, n. lit. three-mouther, viz. leech, කූඩැල්ලා.

තොටියා, n. ferry-man; also for තීර්‍ථකයා.

තීන්ත·කුප්පිය, or ·කූඩුව n. inkstand.

තැන්පත්කරනවා, v. t. to bury, වළලනවා; deposit, lay up, store, ගබඩාවේ තබනවා.

තිත්·මාපිලා, n. a snake, a variety of dispas forstenii.

ත්‍වච්, n. See ත්‍වක්.

තෙර, n. The venerable, viz. B. P. who has been not less than ten years ordained, aged monk, senior priest, elder.

තන්·වැසියා, n. one who speaks or acts seasonably or opportunely.
