නිරාකාර, a. without form, formless, නිරූප; ep. of a god as invisible, sp. of Vishnu and Siva.

න, prefix, with a negative, privative or prohibitive force. Its normal form is නො, as නොකර, but its vowel is varied according to the vowel which follows and sometimes is merely න‍. Thus නාරින for නොඅරින, නෑර, for නොඇර, නේන for නොඑන, නූපන් for නො උපන්, නුදුටු &c., but not නී, as නොඉල්ලා, not නීල්ලා.

නිස්සරණධ්‍යාසය, n. intention of attaining Nirvāna, නිවන් දකින අදහස.

නර·ඟන, n. (·අඟන), human female, woman, ස්ත්‍රී.

නහිනවා, v. i. to die; pret. නැහුණ.

නි·රෝග, නි‍·රෝගි, a. diseaseless, healthy, sound, රෝගනැති.

නො·මින්, ad. without measure, abundantly, අප්‍රමා‍‍‍‍‍ණලෙස.

නවතිනවා, v. i. to stop, cease, desist; stay, remain, wait; pret. නැවතුණ; v. n. නැවතීම.

නිමන·භූමිය, නිම්නස්ථානය, n. low ground, deep‍ place, valley, මිටිතැන, මිටියාවත.

නැඟෙනවා, v. i. to rise, mount, ascend; pret. නැඟුණ; v. n. නැඟීම.
