අනාකීර්‍ණ, a. (අන් ආකීර්‍ණ), not crowded, sparse, ගනසැර නැති.

අනාගත වක්‍තෘ (වරයා), n. foreteller, prophet, seer, මතු සිදුවන දේ කියන්නා.

අංගුලි ත්‍රාණය, n. finger-guard, ඇඟිලිමුවාව.

අභ්‍යන්තර, a. inner, interior, internal, ඇතුළත්, included, esoteric, අඩංගු, ගුප්ත.

අටඟ මග, n. (අට, අග portion, section), the eightfold way to Nirvāna, i. e. the way embracing eight sections, viz. — 1. සම්‍යක් දෘෂ්ටිය, right view, orthodoxy. 2. සම්‍යක් සංකල්පනාව, right volition or determination. 3. සම්‍යක් වචනය, right speech. 4. සම්‍යක් කර්‍මන්තය, right action. 5. සම්‍යක් ආජීවය, right living or livelihood. 6. සම්‍යක් ව්‍යායාමය, right effort. 7. සම්‍යක් සමෘතිය, right remembrance or contemplation of the past. 8. සම්‍යක් සමාධිය, right meditation.

අ චේෂ්ටිත, a. unaccomplished, not done, කරලා නැති.

අ කාරණය, n. what is no cause or reason.

අර්‍ථ දූෂණය, n. waste of wealth, prodigality, වස්තු නැතිකෙරීම.

අධිකාරි පත්‍රය, n. diploma, certificate of authority, බලපත්‍රය.

අව මතිය, n. disesteem, contempt, scorn, සුළු කොට or නීචකොට සිතීම.
