ප්‍රති·ෂ්ඨාව, n. (ප්‍රති for, in lieu of,ෂ්ඨා (ස්ථා) be), favour, help, පිහිට; dowry, දායාදය; establishing, fixing, පිහිටුවීම; fixture (as the earth, site, place); accomplishment, completion as a religious ceremony, act of consecration &c.; stanza of a particular metre.

පාස්සනවා, v. t. to solder, weld; graft, ingraft; pret. පෑස්සුවා; v. n. පෑස්සීම.

පූජාව, n. sacrifice, offering, oblation.

පිරෙනවා, v. i. to become filled or full; pret. පිරුණ; v. n. පිරීම.

පුලින, n. sand, වැලි; iband, ද්වීපය, sp. alluvial iband or one left in a river.

පුස්, a. empty, barren; blighted (as fruit &c.), හිස්.
