අ සන්තපිපිත, a. unsatisfied, සතුටුනෙවී සිටින, නෙසංසිඳුණු.

අභි වෘඬිකරනවා, v. t. to increase, improve, promote, වර්‍ධනයකරනවා, සඵලකරනවා.

අසධකාරවෙනවා, v. i. to become dark.

අශිතිය, n. eighty, අසුව.

අසුරයා, n. a kind of demon, Titan: they are enemies of the gods and dwell beneath මහ මෙර; the sun, සූර්‍ය්‍යයා.

අන්තඃ කල්පය, n. a certain number of years in Buddhism: according to B. man's age increases by imperceptible degrees from ten years to an Asankhya (අසංඛ්‍ය) and then decreases in the same way to ten years: the period required for this is an Antahkalpa. See අසංඛ්‍ය.
