ප්‍රාතිමෝක්‍ෂය, n. (pro-liberation), the name given to a collection of the various precepts contained in the Vinaya Pitaka. These precepts are read twice a month in every monastery, and individual priests are invited to make confession if they have broken any of the precepts read out. P. පාති මොක්‍ඛ.

පොපියවනවා, v. c. to cause to quiver or tingle, tickle.

පති, a. pert. to a master or husband, ස්වාමි-, ස්වාමිපුරුෂ.

ප්‍ර·වේෂ්ටව්‍ය, a. that may or should be entered; pervious, penetrable.

පුෂ්ප·පත්‍රෝපරිස්ථ, a. (පත්‍ර උප:), epipetalous E.S.

පිහාටුව, පිහාට්ට, n. feather, pinion, quill; pl. පිහාටු.

පරණ, a. old, ancient, former.

පුරාණය, n. One of a class of H. sacred and poetical works, which are said to have been compiled or composed by the poet ව්‍යාස. Of these there are eighteen, with eighteen supplementary works called Upa Purana, උප පුරාණ. They treat of the creation, destruction and renovation of worlds, the genealogy and achievements of gods and heroes, the reigns of the Man us and the transactions of their descendants. These works constitute the H. theology, and are much studied.

ප්‍රේමය, n. love, affection, attachment, ආදරය.

පැලැස්ස, n. lair of an animal, ලෙන; grove, කුඩවනය.
