පංච·නීවරණ, n. pl. B., the five closings or barriers that close the way to Nirvāna: කාමච්ඡාන්‍ද නීවාරණය, the barrier of carnal desire; ව්‍යා පාද..., of malice; ථිනමිඬ...of apathy and both; උඬච්චකුක්කුච්ච..., of fickleness or instability; විචිකිච්ඡා..., of doubt about Buddha, his doctrines, priests, precepts, past birth, future birth, both these births and dependent causation.

පංච·තූර්‍ය්‍ය·වාද්‍ය, n. pl. the five musical instruments, තූර්‍ය්‍යභාණ්ඩ පහ: see පසඟතුරු.

පංචානන්තර්‍ය්‍ය·කර්‍ම, n. pl. lit. five intervalless deeds, viz. the five sins which are punished in the very next life: see අනන්තර්‍ය්‍යකර්‍ම.

පරි·බ්‍රාජිකා, a. ascetic, තාපය.

පැටිහුම, n. disappearance, නෙපෙනීයාම, hiding, සැඟවීම.

ප්‍රාර්ථීත, a. the hoped for, බලාපොරොත්තුවු, the desired, ආශාවූ; the requested, ඉල්ලනලද.

පෑළය, n. the West, බටහිර දිසාව; a measure equal to ten කුරුණි.

පෙඟෙනවා, v i. to soak, steep, become saturated; pret. පෙ‍ඟුණ.

පැස, n. basket, flasket, basket or cane frame.
