අවධිය, n. limit, boundary, මායිම; care, help, උපකාරය; hole, වළ; time, අවදිය, කාලය.

අ ශාන්ත, a. restless, unquiet, unallayed, නිශ්චල නොවන, සහනයක් නැති.

අන්තඃ කල්පය, n. a certain number of years in Buddhism: according to B. man's age increases by imperceptible degrees from ten years to an Asankhya (අසංඛ්‍ය) and then decreases in the same way to ten years: the period required for this is an Antahkalpa. See අසංඛ්‍ය.

අභි සන්තාපය, n. (අභි emp., සන්තාපය burning), deep regret or repentance, තද තැවීම; curse, ශාපය; war, යුඬය.

අ ඛාද්‍ය a. not to be eaten; not edible; කෑමට සුදුසු.

අනන්තර භවය, n. the birth or existence immediately following, ඊළඟ or මීටපසු ජීවිතය.

අල්වනවා, v. t. to seize &c: see අල්ලනවා.

අපරාපර්‍ය්‍ය, a. not without result, resultant: in B. refering to actions (කර්‍ම) which in due time receive what is due.

අදුව, n. playing with dice; gambling, දූකෙළිය.

අ ඛ්‍යාත a. without fame, obscare, unknown, කීර්‍තතිනැති, අප්‍රසිඬ.
