මාණවයා, මාණවකයා, n. a youth, young man, තරුණයා; pupil, ගෝළයා; manikin (contemptuouby), මිට්ටා: see මානවයා.

මැනව, මැනවි, a word equivalent to හොඳයි: 'It is good or it would be well if'. It is generally used with the past tense of a verb in a precative sense as a very respectful or earnest entreaty, as මේක කළ මැනව, 'It would be well if you did this, be pleased to do this.' [Cp. මනා.]

මාත්තු·කරනවා, v. t. to modify or qualify, metals by mixing; with තෙත, to wipe up or off see තෙත මාත්තුකරනවා.
