යටත්·පහත්වෙනවා, v. i. to condescend; humble one's self, cringe.

යෝජනාකරනවා, v. to plan, devise, design; move or propose a resolution; prepare, සූදානම්කරනවා.

යන්ත්‍රයා‍, n. charioteer, රථාචාරියා; elephant driver, ඇතරුවා.

යෙහෙළී, යේළී, n. fem. of යහළුවා: female friend; sp. niece or daughter-in-law.

යාම්‍යාව, n. night, රාත්‍රීය; the second lunar asterism or constellation Musca, see භරණිය.

යොන්, a. fr. යවනය: Arabian, අරාබි, Moorish, මරක්කල.

යුගාන්ත·මාරුතය, or ·වාතය, n. age-terminal wind, viz. hurricane by which the Universe is destroyed at the end of a Yuga or age, යුග අන්තයේ මාරුතය.

යුවතී, n. fem. young woman, යෞවන ස්ත්‍රී.

යුගය, n. two, couple, කුට්ටම, pair, යුග ලය; yoke, වියගහ; a measure of four cubits; era, age or duration of the world, the four ages are called කෘත or සතය,ත්‍රෙතා,ද්වාපාර, and කලි, which last is the present age: see කෘතයුගය &c.
