වි·ජටනය, n. (වි priv., ජට් to clot or knot), separating, disentangling, ලිහීම; fig, solving, explaining, විසඳීම, විවරණය.

වාක් ජලය, n. prevarication, quibble, deceitful speech. රැවටිලි බස.

ව්‍රත·සම්පන්න, a. lit. vows &c. accomplished, viz. who has performed all his religious vows, duties &c.

වි·නය·ධරයා, n. (ධරයා holder), one who is well versed in and observes the precepts of the විනයපිටකය.

විෂ්ණු, විෂ්ණුදෙවියෝ, n. (විශ් to enter, pervade), the second of the three chief H. deities, who‍ is said to be the preserver of the world. He has had many incarnations or Avatàrs, and in Krishna he is said to have been wholly incarnate.
