වට්ටෝරු, n. pl. or a. catalogues, lists, notes; note-.

වජ්‍රය, n. diamond, දියමන්තිය; thunder-bolt, අකුණ, sp, thunderbolt of Indra, the thunderbolt and diamond being regarded as alike in hardness or perhaps the same substance.

වස්වසනවා, v. i. (වස් the rains, වසනවා dwell), to sojourn during the rainy season. According to B. the monk has no settle home, but during the rains may remain with a householder. Whilst there it is usual for him to give religious instruction to the inmates and others who attend.

විඳිනවා, n. v. t. to experience, endure, enjoy or suffer (good or ill), possess or receive, as භුක්තිවිඳිනවා: pret. වින්දා; p. pl. විඳ.
