විනය·පිටකය, n. name of one of the B. sacred books, the second of the Three Pitakas relating entirely to the priests. It is divided into five main parts called respectively පාරාජිකා, ප‍චිති, සුළුවග, මහවග and පරිවාර, this last being a summary of the chief doctrines of the other four.

වෑලිකිකිළී, n. Ceylon jungle hen.

වපනය, වපය, n. sowing, වැපිරීම; shaving, රැවුලබෑම; levelling the ground after sowing.

වය, n. age, වයස; decline &c. from ව්‍යය.

වරණව, n. river so called to the North of Benares that falls into the Ganges, the modern Bernā.

වාල්·වෙළෙන්දා, n. bave merchant, bave-dealer.

වි·ක්‍ෂේපණය, වි·ක්‍ෂේපය, n. casting, throwing away, විසිකිරීම; rejection, exclusion, අහකදැමී ම; confusion, perplexity, වල්මත්ගතිය.

වෘත්තාලංකෘති·නාද, n. pl. (වෘත්ත tune, අලංකෘති beautifying), mus. sounds which beautify the tune or music, viz. variations.

වර්‍තන, a. existing, fixed, abiding, ඇන්නාවූ, පව තින.

වියල, n. clay prepared for building; pustule, boil or carbuncle, ගඩුව: bedstead or couch, ඇඳ; either of the two poles which connect the beam of the outrigger with the canoe; pl. වියල්.
