වීත·ශෝක, a. freed from sorrow, sorrowless, සෝකදුරුවූ.

වැඩු, v. adj. pret. of වඩනවා: increased, වැඩි කළ.

වඳුරා, n. wanderoo or large monkey, of which the four species in Ceylon are: කළුවඳුරා, black monkey of the low country, preabytes cephalopterus; මහවඳුරා, great monkey of the upper country p. ursinuas; also p. thersites; and p. piramus, in the North and East Provinces.
