විද්‍යෝදග්‍රහණය, n. (විද්‍යා උද්:) acquiring or acquirement of knowledge, study, දැනගැම්ම ලබාගැනීම, ශාස්ත්‍ර ඉගෙනීම.

වි·දර්‍භ, n. (වි priv., දර්‍භ sacrificial grass), desert region, කාන්තාර පළාතක් a district and city to the south-west of Bengal, so called, it is said, because the sacred grass does not grow there, the district having been cursed by a saint whose son had died of a wound from a blade of that grass. The district is now called Berar.

ව්‍යාධිය, n. disease, malady, illness, රෝගය, ලෙඩ.
