ශ්ලේෂම·ඝෙනෟෂධය, n. (·ඝන ඖ:), expectorant, phlegmagogue, සෙම් අරවන බෙහෙත.

ශාශ්වත, a. permanent, perpetual, eternal, නිරන්තර, නිත්‍ය.

ශනි·ප්‍රිය, n. sapphire, නිල්කැටය, or emerald, පච්චගල.

ශක·වර්‍ෂය, n. ශක: a term applied to any king from the beginning of whose reign the years are reckoned, so that ශකවර්‍ෂය is the Saka year or era, of which in this කලියුගය there have been three, instituted severally by the kings යුධිෂ්ඨිර, වික්‍රමාදිත්‍ය, and ශාලිවාහන; this last is the present era which began A. D. 78.

ශිරෝ·වේෂ්ට(න)ය, n. (වේෂ්ට surrounding), head-dress, head cover, cap, තොප්පිය, ඉස්වැසුම, turban, ‍තලප්පාව.

ශෝකාගතිය, n. (·අග්නිය), lit. sorrow-fire, viz. intense sorrow, violent grief, තද සෝකය.

ශාබ්දිකයා, n. grammarian, ව්‍යාකරණ දන්නඅය.

ශුභාන්විත, a. (අන්විත), having good luck or welfare, see ශුභවූ.

ශාස්ත්‍රාචාර්‍ය්‍යයා, n. teacher of science, doctor, 'Master of Arts' (M. A.)

ශුක්ල·මණ්ඩලය, n. white disk, viz. white of the eye, ඇසේ සුදු හරිය.
