සඤ්ඤක, a. or n. (P. සඤ්ඤෝග. Sans, සං යෝග), attached; the prefix (/?/) which gives the short sound of අනුස්වාරය or බින්‍දුව (ං), preceding and attached to another consonant; also for the short sound of ණ්, ට්, ද් and න්, and as a substitute for the full nasal ඤ් before ච, ඡ and ජ.

සු·ලෝහක, n. (සු good, ලෝහක metal), good metal, viz. brass, පිත්තල.

සව්·සිරි, n. pl all blesbngs or benefits, සියලු ආශිර්‍වාද or ශුභ. (In the following words the prefix ස, means. With or Having.)

සං·ලිප්තය, n. union, junction, සම්බන්‍ධය, සන්‍ධිය.

සත්තකටම, ad. assuredly, positively.

සුරුක්කම, n. T., speed, යුහුකම, brevity, කොට කම; smallness, කුඩාකම; economy, සකසුරු වම්කම.

සුදඟර, n. (සුදු අඟර), unguent or powder made of sandal wood &c. for making the skin fair, සුදු විලවුන්.

සම්බරය, n. another form for සංවරය, also a demon called සම්බර.

සහසු·පාදිකයා, n. millepede, පා දහසක්ඇති සතා, කන්කුණ්ඩා &c.

සංග්‍රහකරනවා, v. t. (සං together, ග්‍රන් to take), to compile, compose, රචනාකරනවා; favour, කරුණාකරනවා; entertain (guests) සත්කාර කරනවා.
